PTS Advance is looking for a talented Field Civil Engineer to join our team and work on exciting projects in partnership with organizations like IDOT, the Illinois Tollway, and CDOT.
Location: On-site (Local candidates preferred—no relocation assistance or per diem).
Why This Role?
As a Field Civil Engineer, you’ll:
- Act as the owner’s on-site representative for construction projects.
- Oversee and document work performed by third-party contractors.
- Engage in impactful projects ranging from roadway and bridge construction to civil sitework for power plants and facilities.
What We’re Looking For
Degree:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (or related field).
OR
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering Technology + successful FE exam completion.
OR
- Master’s in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
- 3+ years of civil engineering experience (consulting preferred; internships don’t count).
- Ideal: 4-8 years of relevant experience.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering techniques and procedures.
- Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and others.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Valid driver’s license (potential to drive fleet vehicles).
- Engineers-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
